Sana Necklace

Sana is an Arabic name that means “brilliance, radiance, splendour”.

This necklace features an exquisite handcrafted Omani gold silver pendant (sterling) that I sourced from Muttrah Souk in Muscat. The chased and punched designs are mostly geometric patterns accentuated with silver granulation and applied motifs. Traditional filigree work borders the circumference of this elaborate pendant. The intricate workmanship displays the rich and ornate silversmith techniques indigenous to this area.

Three strands of black and white faceted three-eye Agate beads are interspersed with hexagonal brass beads from Ghana. Eye Agate has long been thought to ward off the evil-eye or curses and has been worn as a protective amulet.

The necklace is completed with two gold coloured Tibetan filigree separators and small gold balls. It is finished with a handmade brass clasp, chain and SHIKHAZURI logo bead. This exquisite statement necklace is sure to make you stand out from the crowd!
