Kifaru Rhino Silver Plated Necklace

The Rhino Silver Plated Necklace is inspired by the incredible rhinoceros – a pre-historic looking creature that has lived on the planet for over 50 million years. This animal has long been associated with qualities relating to independence, freedom and being grounded. Without doubt, there is much to learn from these wise beasts. Channel these qualities when you wear this Rhino Necklace.

This is largely due to its solitary nature and heightened sense of perception in its natural habitat.

Interesting African Rhino Facts

There are five species of rhino, two of which are native to Africa: the white rhino and black rhino. White and black rhinos are not named for their colours, as they are both grey. It is believed that white rhinos acquired their name due to a misinterpretation of the Afrikaans word “wyd”, meaning “wide”. “Wide” was used to describe the rhino’s square-lipped mouth, but this was taken to mean “white” by non-native speakers. In contrast, black rhinos have a hooked-lip which enables them to feed on twigs or woody plants and other herbaceous shrubs. They are also so called because of the dark mud that they wallow in.

The white rhino is the second-largest land animal on the planet, after the elephant. They can grow to over 3500 kg (7,700 pounds) and reach a length of 4 meters (13 feet). In spite of their large size, rhinos are incredibly agile and can charge with explosive power!

Intensify the energy of the rhino when you pair this necklace with the Rhino Silver Plated Earrings.

“If we can teach people about wildlife, they will be touched. Share my wildlife with me. Because humans want to save things that they love.”
