Consequently, findings of African hair combs have been dated back to the first millennium BCE (the Nok civilisation), and over the years they have been created in a wonderful array of designs. It is flanked on one side with Mother of Pearl spike beads that make a striking statement. Mother of Pearl is prized for its spiritual and calming properties that promote peace and tranquillity.
