Can I order an item that is indicated as “SOLD” in the EKA Range (Pangaea or Turkana to Timbuktu Collection)?

All jewellery within the EKA range are one of a kind pieces and we usually only have single or limited numbers of certain beads, stones and artefacts. Even if we do have the materials to re-create an item, we are unable to make something identical in order to honour the individuality of each piece. However, we would be happy to discuss creating something similar if possible. Please get in touch and we will do our best to help you.

Do you do repair work?

Request for repairs for items purchased under the Eka Range will need to be assessed on a case by case basis. Please note that some of the beads, pendants and artefacts that we use are many years old, and might not be able to be restored to their original condition if it breaks, cracks or chips in whole or in part, or if a component becomes dislodged. Also, due to the one of a kind nature of our pieces, we might not be able to replace a specific component with another identical one. Please contact us for any repair enquiries and supply us with pictures of the repair work required, and we will get back to you as soon as we can to discuss the best way forward.

We will not be able to repair a piece that has been previously repaired by another jeweller, nor can we repair items that we have not created.

What currency are the products on your website sold in? Why do they include VAT?

All prices on this website are in Great Britain Pounds (GBP). If purchasing from outside the UK, the equivalent amount in your card’s currency will be charged.

Since we are a UK registered company, prices are inclusive of VAT which is payable by all customers purchasing within the EU. If your shipping address is outside the EU, the VAT will be deducted at checkout.

When will I receive my order?

We will aim to dispatch your order within 2-3 business days of receiving your order. Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an email confirmation that your order is complete and on its way.

Orders within Kenya are shipped via Securicor or equivalent courier service and are delivered within 2 – 4 business days.

International orders are shipped via Royal Mail (from the UK) or via Aramex or Fedex (from Kenya) and can take between 3 – 7 business days. Please note that delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch. Delays caused by items held by customs are outside of our control.

Will I have to pay duties and taxes?

VAT, duties and taxes will be applicable as per your country’s regulations and will be borne by the customer. In some cases, you may be required to pay the additional customs/VAT/ duty value to the courier company in order to receive your order. Please note we are unable to advise the duty amount.

What packaging will my order be shipped in?

Your jewellery is wrapped in recycled paper and placed in a pouch. This, together with the story card and certificate of authenticity is placed in a handmade banana leaf box lined with traditional Maasai shuka fabric made in Kenya. These beautiful boxes keep your jewellery secure during shipping and also make a wonderful keepsake. It is the perfect storage solution for your jewellery.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We accept orders from all around the world and can ship internationally to most countries via courier services. If you receive an error notification on checkout that we cannot sell or ship to your country, please contact us and tell us where you are, and we will try our best to resolve the problem.

Can you ship to multiple addresses?

We can only ship to one address per order. If your order contains gifts or items that require shipping to multiple locations, you will need to place separate orders for each address.

Will I need to sign for my order at the time of delivery?

Usually, yes. Since we use DHL or Aramex, these international courier services generally require a signature and often proof of ID at the time of delivery of your order. The same may apply for local delivery via courier service.

Do you take wholesale orders?

Yes! If you would like to become a SHIKHAZURI Stockist please contact us directly.

Is the jewellery shown on your website exactly the same as the piece I will receive?

Since items in our Eka Range are one of a kind, what you see is what you will get.

Items shown within the Trade Beads Collection is a representative selection of our current stock, and since each piece (including the beads) are handmade, there may be small variations in style and colour.

While we have made every effort to display colours of the products as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee that your monitor or screen’s display of any colour will be completely accurate, as computer monitors and screens of electronic devices vary.

Some products may also appear smaller or larger than the image displayed on the site. However, we do provide dimensions of our jewellery in the product description section of each item.

If you have any questions prior to ordering, or to request additional photos, please contact us.
