I’m so excited to announce the launch of my new jewellery and corporate accessories line, Simply Zuri.
First, a bit of the backstory to get you up to speed.
As you know, I love discovering and working with ethnic beads, intriguing artefacts, unusual stones and mesmerising fossils. However, over the past year I began receiving numerous requests for the charms that I incorporate into my statement necklaces. My customers love and are drawn to the stories behind them, but most of the pieces I source are truly only one-of-a-kind and cannot be reproduced.
And so I would explain to them… and they would sigh back in disappointment.
But the enquiries persisted.
I realised I had to do something about this.
I decided to design my own charms inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Africa, including its magnificent wildlife which I am deeply passionate about. I showed family and friends and they were an instant fans. Then I dared myself to get out of my comfort zone. I started posting them on social media and selling them at fairs. The response has been overwhelming!
I knew I had to find a way to get these trinkets of inspiration out to the world. I decided to create a sister brand to house these wonderful charms that so many people have come to love.
Simply Zuri was born.
Some of the most positive feedback stems from the story element attached to each design. Indeed, in true SHIKHAZURI fashion, each comes with an exploration of the symbolism and cultural significance behind each piece.

You’ll notice it’s not an e-commerce website, so you won’t be able to take out your shiny credit card and start shopping.
Why? Simply Zuri is only available for wholesale to retailers, but you will be able to purchase directly from them.
Why it’s good news for you? Retailers provide a convenient location for you to shop from, offer great customer service, and most importantly, you can go in store, see the jewellery in person, and choose your favourite pieces. And the best part – you can take your friends, daughter, sister, or mum – after all, shopping is always fun in good company.
