About the Throat Chakra
The Throat Chakra or “Vissudha” in Sanskrit, is located in the centre of the neck and is represented by the colour blue. It is associated with the throat, vocal cords and thyroid gland. It represents the ability to speak and communicate clearly and effectively. Imbalanced attributes would be shyness, being withdrawn, arrogance, criticism and increased anxiety. On a physiological level, malfunction may manifest as thyroid problems, speech or hearing issues, colds, and sore throats.
